Webex Spark BoardHardware + software collaboration experience
I've spent my career on the hardest kind of UX problem: systems where the user can't afford to get it wrong, and "simple" has to hold up under a security review, a compliance audit, or a live outage. At Cohesity, I lead product design and research for a cyber-resilience platform that, after its 2024 merger with Veritas, became the world's largest data protection software provider — and I'm now driving its shift to an AI-first design practice, from Claude-powered prototyping to AI-assisted reporting.
Before that: five analytics business units at AWS, the first design org at Palo Alto Networks, and next-generation Webex at Cisco, working with the hardware team on the Red Dot Award–winning Spark Board.
What stays constant: obsession with the end user's actual moment of friction — the network admin who can't finish onboarding, the SOC analyst buried in alerts, the IT lead managing 100,000 policies — and, increasingly, using AI to close the gap between spotting that friction and shipping the fix.
The framework I run every design org on, regardless of the product underneath it or which time zone the team sits in.
Leading design through the largest merger in data protection.
In December 2024, Cohesity's merger with Veritas created the world's largest data protection software provider — 12,000 customers, 85+ of the Fortune 100.
As Head of Product Design, I lead the entire UX design and research organization — two directors and a senior design manager reporting directly — and grew the team from 9 to 24 designers across Bangalore, Pune, Costa Rica, and the US.
I lead product design for Helios, Cohesity's single management platform for data protection, security, and analytics — moving it from an apps-based experience to an AI-first one, and redefining the platform's visual language end to end.
After the merger, I reconciled two mature design systems, two information architectures, and deeply ingrained enterprise workflows into a single design direction — without disrupting either customer base.

A core team member and named decision-maker on Cohesity's Product Org AI Transformation — moving the organization from static, document-heavy handoffs to Claude-powered, prototype-driven workflows.
Five analytics products had grown up independently — each with its own roadmap, its own conventions, and its own idea of what "good design" meant.
Shown: the AWS Console today, for product context — the five services this role spanned, not literal screens from 2021–2023.
Built the hiring, mentorship, and career-development structures needed to scale a UX org 4x in a single year — 8 to 30+ designers, researchers, and managers — while keeping design embedded in the shift toward serverless and IDE-based product experiences.
Network admins couldn't get a security product live without hand-holding from sales engineers or support — the worst possible first impression for a security tool.
Self-service onboarding cut the process to a couple of hours instead of days, instrumented with Pendo for ongoing journey analytics, and became the blueprint other onboarding flows across the portfolio were built from.
Navigation had grown around the database schema, not the admin's workflow. The result was reactive firewall management at a scale where reactive doesn't work.
Consolidated navigation, richer data visualization, and a built-in best-practice assessment (BPA) that shifted the product from reactive to proactive. The work produced a firewall design system later adopted across UX and UI engineering to raise consistency and velocity.
Meeting join time averaged over three minutes. The room, the desktop, and the mobile app all felt like different products — for an audience of 150 million users.
Simple, scalable, consistent UX across devices; meeting join time in rooms cut to seconds via proximity; a five-phase "ladder" rollout that let engineering ship incrementally across mobile, desktop, and hardware without blocking on one big-bang release. I also owned the end-user experience of the Webex App Hub marketplace for third-party integrations.
The organizational half of the job — scaling teams and reach without losing craft.
That's the throughline across security, data, cloud, and collaboration platforms — earlier in my career through design craft alone, and at Cohesity, increasingly literal: using AI itself to simplify how complex SaaS tools get built and used. It's what I'd bring to a VP of Design role next.
